1. open the Spreadsheet.
2. click the "Chart" button on the toolbar to insert an empty chart.
3. save the chart as "Microsoft Excel 97/2000/XP(.XLS)â€ format.
4. reload the saved .xls file.
Result is the application crashed.

It isn't reproducible with OOo2.4.1 and DEV300m28 (English) on WinXP.
Do you make anything special? Could you check in English version also.

@thorstenziehm: Thank you for your comments. You are right, It isn't 
reproducible in OOo2.4.1 but OOo2.4. I am Sorry for my negligence. :-)
Maybe this issue should be closed, because it's already fixed in OOo2.4.1.

Ok, thanks, I set this issue to fixed now as it is fixed already within OOo 2.4.1.
@weiz, for the necessary code changes look at
chart2/source/controller/chartapiwrapper/WrappedNumberFormatProperty.cxx and
take the changes from version 1.6 to 1.8.
