Description gantim 2008-09-01 11:39:08 UTC
Just enter some words which start with the same 3 letters one in a line for
having a history for auto complete. Then in a new line enter these 3 letters.
You get a possibility for auto complete, but you can't switch it. According to
the help it should be possible to switch forward via Ctrl-Tab and backwards via
Ctrl-Shift-Tab.

This occurs on OSX in OOO300_m3 and is likely to be caused by the special
treatment for Command-key on OSX.

Reassigned to SBA.
Comment 2 stefan.baltzer 2008-09-04 16:57:17 UTC
SBA: Workaround: Tools-AutoCorrect, Tab "Word Completion": Choose another key
that works, i.e. <Enter>

SBA->Gantim: This is not P2. Please see
http://qa.openoffice.org/scdocs/ddIssues_EnterModify.html#priority
Thank you for your comprehension.

Set Prio P3, confirming issue. Reassigned to PL. Adjusting Summary. Put ES and
myself on c/c.

SBA->PL: This one is more precise than in Issue 92224 ("MacOSX keyboard
shortcuts not quite there").

This entry was set to P2 because I thought there is no workaround and to be
honest I don't understand the workaround. Where do I set the shortcut for
rotating the possible completion words? I mean switching to the next possible
word? And if I set it to enter, how can I accept a word completion which is what
I usually do using enter? A field to set the shortcut for "Accept with" exists
but not for "Rotate suggestion forward" and "Rotate suggestion backwards". If
there is a misunderstanding and no workaround exists I suggest to set Prio back.
