Description Uwe Fischer 2008-10-01 15:48:40 UTC
On the Mac, all other applications show a Help menu with at least some help and
an Update command. This is not visible on the OOo 3.0 on the Mac. A Help menu is
available on the Windows, Linux, and Solaris versions of OOo 3.0, so this is a
defect of the Mac version.

In part my 'complaint' is because OO is neither 'Mac-like' in this regard nor is it functionally the same as
other implementations.

Help 'goes away' when no document windows are open. Historically the main menu functions are always
visible in a Mac application. Those menu functions that are not available at any given moment are grayed
out. It would seem the implementation of OO goes against that approach and the root application has
only the APPLE and FILE and the specific applications add the other menus and sub-menus as
appropriate.
