impress file demonstrating text objects imported from ppt none

Description michal 2008-10-01 22:03:06 UTC
When importing simple powerpoint files, imported text objects are often not
easily editable.

I will attach an example document that contains two text objects, both generated
from powerpoint. One was imported as a 'frame' object, the other as a
custom-shape: Rectangle 8. The custom-shape object behaves very differently
from other text objects in impress in that it is not easily moved, and many
style options are greyed out as well. My real complaint here is that the object
can't be moved the same way other objects can.

This could be a duplicate of http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=93996
Although the behavior is not explicitly described in that issue, I think it may
be linked to it based on the discussion in
http://user.services.openoffice.org/en/forum/viewtopic.php?t=11083
