Reassigned to requirements. Dupe of 1601? If so, please mark it a dupe and move your votes to 1601. Issue as noted appears here is paraphrased? Yes, similar to 1601 BUT READ ON: 1) Formatting for 'Sentence case' is needed 2) Formatting for 'Title Case' is needed 3) Formatting for 'mUPPET cASE' would also be good. BUT THE MOST IMPORTANT POINTS ARE: A) ALL USER SELECTIONS NEED TO APPEAR ON THE SAME MENU. B) OO TEAMS NEED TO BE THINKING 'USER' AND 'USABILITY' FIRST AND FOREMOST TO INCREASE UP TAKE AND KEEP UP WITH THE GAME. c) MOST USERS ARE NOT INTERESTED IN THE TECHNICAL IMPLEMENTATION OR IN FINDING ANOTHER MENU ITEM / GROUP OF ITEMS IN ANOTHER PART OF THE MENU HIERARCHY WHICH DOES A SIMILAR JOB FOR THEM AS FUNCTIONALITY THEY HAVE ALREADY FOUND. IN SUMMARY LIFE's SHORT AND TRAINING IS SCARCE, LET'S GIVE THEM WHAT THEY NEED, I.E. SOMETHING SIMPLE TO USE. Sorry to shout but I'd typed all the last bit in UPPERCASE before I realised it might be offensive but this app lake the functionality to corect ;-) Pete PS Slight Correction OS is UBUNTU 8.04 *** Issue 94584 has been confirmed by votes. *** Changing text to Sentence case or Title Case are features I most often need when I have to edit text sent to me by OTHER WRITERS. This is because SOME PEOPLE think they get their MESSAGE THROUGH much better if they WRITE ALL THE TEXT, ESPECIALLY ALL THE NAME LISTS OF PEOPLE with CAPITAL LETTERS. I get landed with the mind-numbing job of writing all this text again, word by word, name by name. If this feature were implemented in OO, it might save me tons of the dullest work imaginable. So, please? |
