Description dykim6 2008-10-04 11:00:47 UTC
Choosing View/Zoom/Optimal won't center the document, but the horizontal scroll
bar is set to the right most position. Every time I have to center the
horizontal scroll bar to center the optimal view. Seems to be a bug.

I'll take over.
Comment 3 michael.ruess 2008-10-07 15:52:06 UTC
This is not a Mac-only problem, thus I change the Platform/OS.
MRU->FME: I also think, that we should reconsider the target (better 3.1). Yeah,
it is not a real killer-issue, but it is quite awful...
Comment 4 Mathias_Bauer 2009-02-02 12:54:14 UTC
Oliver, please take over

I checked with "Ooo 3.0.1 (DE) Multilingual version GERMAN UI WIN XP: [OOO300m15
(Build 9379)]" and can confirm the reported effect.

It's no longer visible with
"Ooo Dev 3.1.0 multilingual version English UI WIN XP: [OOo310m2 (Build 9385)]"
Comment 7 Oliver Brinzing 2009-09-06 12:59:23 UTC
i can still confirm with oo 3.1.1 an 3.2m57.

after switching from 100% to "optimal" the left margin of the document is
not visible anymore. one has to scroll left to center the view ...
Comment 8 Oliver Specht 2009-09-30 09:31:47 UTC
Target changed to 3.x

here's a fix
Comment 10 caolanm 2011-02-10 12:50:07 UTC
Takes the original border width for its calculation. Simple fix is that when
entering optimal zoom to use the optimal zoom default border width for the calc.
Comment 11 stefan.baltzer 2011-02-10 13:01:39 UTC
SBA-> MBA, OS: After CMC provided a fix for this one, I propose to set target 3.4.
Comment 12 Oliver Specht 2011-02-16 13:47:06 UTC
->cmc: Compared to an unpatched DEV300/m100 on Windows 7 I can't see the
improvement with this patch. The zoom value was already o.k. for me but the
scrollbar issue is still there.

I'm adding this comment to all open issues with Issue Type == PATCH. We have 220 such issues, many of them quite old. I apologize for that.

We need your help in prioritizing which patches should be integrated into our next release, Apache OpenOffice 4.0.

If you have submitted a patch and think it is applicable for AOO 4.0, please respond with a comment to let us know.

On the other hand, if the patch is no longer relevant, please let us know that as well.

If you have any general questions or want to discuss this further, please send a note to our dev mailing list: dev@openoffice.apache.org

Thanks!
