Hi Falko, 1 4 U. Peter Set to "NEW" Set to "NEW" Add the option "value" to the "Paste Special" selection menu. started It work fine if you Paste Special, uncheck Paste All, uncheck Formulas. With Microsoft Excel I heavily using the "paste value only" selector of the dialog. I tried to do the same with Open Office. However, I spend to much time by reading each check box status. Currently, it is one of the stopper which prevents me from switching from Microsoft Excel to OpenOffice. I would appreciate: - either a dedicated menu item like "paste only values" beside the "paste" and "paste special..." items - or a button group (exclusive selection) like Excel does I'm using jeffraun's workaround now, thanks. Thankfully it remembers the checkbox setting. When I use this, I use it hundreds of times in a row. Making it more obvious would be very helpful. I also use this feature to "force" data into a particular column type. Often I'll get a spreadsheet with a mix of dates (stored as fractions) and text that just looks like a date. To grep the issues easier via "requirements" I put the issues currently lying on my owner to the owner "requirements". |
