Even though the Mouse pointer visible Option is unchecked in the Slide Show 
Settings, the mouse pointer remains visible during the slide show.  This 
problem did not occur using Version 2.4.1.

Reproducible. Reassigned. but I also have this problem in 2.4.1.

In 2.4.1, if there is no mouse movement during the slide show, the mouse 
pointer stays visible for about 8 seconds.  During the slide show, if there is 
mouse movement, the mouse pointer becomes visible after a short pause.  The 
mouse pointer becomes invisible again after about 8 seconds if there is no 
mouse movement.  IMHO, this type of operation is okay, especially if you don't 
want to use a laser pointer or you use more than one screen for your 
presentation show.

I have this bug on Windows XP, OO 3.0.

I think this is a serious issue: With this bug Impress often cannot be used at "important" venues.
