Repro:
1. Open attached file, Data - Filter - Autofilter.
2. In column B click arrow down, click any value, for example 4004 - Calc 
takes 4 minutes to provide result, which does not allow productive work.
Needless to say that competing spreadsheet filters in about two seconds.

Needed about 30s with my Solaris-x86 machine, but anyway, that's too slow..
Adding keyword performance.

Problematic file has some cell styles in content.xml.

If we 
1) select all (Ctrl+A)and copy (Ctrl+C)
2) create new spreadsheet
3) press v (arrow down) on paste button, select "unformatted text"
4) select Separated by (*) Tab in Text import dialog, press [Ok]
5) try steps 1, 2 from initial comment
problem doesn't appear.
