Actually, I think it might be desired for the user to control this behavior: Perhaps there are scenarios where automatically growing the rows is not desired? In other report designer applications, a property which controls this is called "Can Grow" (Yes/No). Perhaps we should introduce this property, too. However, it would then need to be disabled if the output format is "Text document", since there is no reasonable way currently to implement this behavior in Writer. Currently the spreadsheet application doesn't support growing of merged cells. It is planned to be implemented but not in the 3.2 time frame. I change the target to 3.x |
