OO.o has inconsistent display of object handles through OO.o applications, such as 
Writer - small 2D
Calc - small 3D
Impress - large 2D
Draw - large 3D
.

Among these, interestingly enough, only Calc has options to change how to
display object handles. In [Tools > Options > OpenOffice.org Calc > View],
'Simple handle' and 'Large handle' options can be selected.

It is necessary to apply consistent display of object handles and to make the
options available through all OO.o applications.
