Description Regina Henschel 2009-01-23 13:55:23 UTC
1. Enable "All control points in Bézier editor" in Tools > Options > OOo Impress
> View
2. Draw a small circle on an empty slide in a new Impress document.
3. Click on circle and apply the custom effect 'Curve' in group "Motion Paths" >
"User Paths"
3. Start in middle of the circle and draw a single Bézier curve.
4. Click on circle. If view option "Points" is not active, enable it via drawing
tool bar.
5. Click on that point of the Bézier curve, which is not on the circle. Drag the
control point away from the anchor point.
6. Click on the anchor point. It should become dark.
7. Modify the curve by dragging this anchor point.
Notice: The anchor point is not moveable.

Moving the anchor point was possible in OOo3.0.
Only Bézier curves as motion paths are affected, normal Bézier curves are editable.

I have reproduced this problem a few times, but not consistently. I am using
WinXP SP2.

1) I drew a small circle in a new document
2) Clicked on the circle and on the right Task panel chose Custom Animation _>
ADD Then click the Motion Paths tab. Double click on Curve and hover the mouse
over the circle.
3) Click the circle and drag the mouse away from the circle
4) Click once then bend the line. Double click to finish.
5) Click on circle. If view option "Points" is not active, enable it via
drawing tool bar.
6) Click on the outside arrow of the curve - drag the middle control point
away causing the line to have more of a curve
7) Click on the anchor point inside the circle. It should become dark.
8) Attempt to move this achor point - this is where sometimes you can and
sometimes you can't...

size of the circle does not seem to be a factor.

Ok, reproducible now with detailed description, thanks for that.
Comment 3 Regina Henschel 2009-03-15 19:42:53 UTC
Are you sure "OOo later" is the right target for an editing tool that works in
OOo3.0.1 and does not work any longer in OOo3.1?
Set "regression" keyword.

Please consider fixing this issue for 3.1.1 : it make "curve motion path"
functionality unusable.
