In calc, Tools->Macros->OrganizeMacros->OpenOffice.orgBasic presents a dialog
which does not premit renaming modules directly, but if any module is selected
and 'Edit' clicked, the module editor is opened, and -all- modules are available
for editing. Modules appear as 'sheet' tabs at the bottom.

Once in the editor system, right-click on a module tab presents several options
including rename.

But selecting the rename feature causes the current spreadsheet page to flash
but otherwise has no effect.

Tools->Macros->OrganizeMacros->OpenOffice.orgBasic>Organize. Click two times (no
double click!) on the module name. Then you see a blinking cursor at the end of
the name and you can change the name. At least in WinXP it works in this way.

For me, renaming the module in the IDE works without problems. I use DEV300m39
on WinXP. Do you use a genuine OOo version or do you use a version from your
Linux provider?
