Description ppetree 2009-03-08 20:35:30 UTC
I have OO version 3.0.0 running on Vista Home Premium and when I open an
existing .ppt make a modification and either Save or Save As... the following
happens:

1) The file grows in size from 79K to 127K (despite the fact one slide is
deleted)
2) The newly saved file has lost virtually all of its content.
What remains is:
A) The presentation format
B) The slide titles

What is gone is:
A) All remaining slide content

What is in its place:
A) The slide content is replaced by a duplicated slide title.

Full description of issue along with screen shots and sample .ppt can be found
here:

Reproducible. Reassigned.
Comment 2 quzhengxi 2009-09-18 07:30:24 UTC
Zhengxi Qu, 9/16/09, tried to reproduce the problem:
Environment: OOo 3.1.1 (OOO310m19, Build:9420) English Version
OS: Windows Vista Home Premium SP1
Steps:
-Download the ppt file from:
http://user.services.openoffice.org/en/forum/download/file.php?
id=3909&sid=f1a3cc24e5a3108d5ca0fba8d3a9eee8
-Open the ppt file using OOo - Impress
-Delete the last line of the 2nd slide
-Click on File - Save As
-Choose 97/2000/XP ppt as the file type, make sure enable auto extensions is
checked
-Save the file with another file name. (For example New.ppt)
-Exit Impress

The file grows in size from 20K to 79K (despite the fact one line from 2nd
slide is deleted); the content of 2nd slide is replaced by a duplicated slide
title.
