That is, because new spacing and position attributes have been introduced for
numbered lists in OO 3.0. These cannot be depicted in OO 2.4 and older. See
specification " New position and space attributes for list levels of a list
style" on http://specs.openoffice.org/writer/index.html for further information.

You have to switch to ODF 1.1 in Tools.Options.Load/Save.General before creating
a new document which should have the "old" list attributes of OOo 2.x.

Closed, it is a new feature in OOO3 which cannot be depicted in OOo 2.x.
