View > Zoom. Default Zoom Levels are
  Optimal, Fit Width and Height, Fit Width
Right Click on Zoom Status in status bar (right of zoom slider), levels are
  Optimal, Entire Page, Page Width

Branch-date (feature- and code-freeze) for OOo 3.2 is nearly done. Therefore I
change the target of this issue to OOo 3.x. If you think it is a stopper for OOo
3.2 please change the target back.

Not only a WRITER problem, also DRAW and CALC affected

Was identical in 2.4, menu text seems to have been modified in 3.x
