Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 101139
after copying a protected sheet copy is unprotected
Last modified: 2013-08-07 15:14:30 UTC
- open a new spreadsheet document - protect a sheet, e.g. Sheet1 (no password required) - copy Sheet1 - Sheet1_1 is not protected (same in oo 3.0.1) in oo 2.4.1/115 the copy will be protected too is it a bug or a new feature ?
>- protect a sheet, e.g. Sheet1 (no password required) Absolutely need to enter password. >- copy Sheet1 How do you copy it? Right_click sheet1 and select "copy" on the context menu? OR Right_click sheet1, then select "move/copy sheet ..."? If the first one, the copy isn't protected. If the second one, the copy is protected. CC Regards Li Meiying
> Absolutely need to enter password. you don't need to enter a password, you can protect a sheet without a password - just click "ok" > "move/copy sheet ..." i used move/copy with "[x] copy" option just noticed: the copy is only unprotected if you select the last entry from the dialogs listbox "insert before" which will place the copied sheet at the end (german: "- ans Ende stellen -")
confirmed with oo 3.1
