Description page_j 2009-04-29 18:46:07 UTC
We are running Cognos 8.2 for most of our Reporting and Cognos sends excel
reports in .MHT and .MHTML format. We are finding that users that we have
installed Open Office 3.0.1 with are having trouble opening the reports, it is
taking several minutes to open a spreadsheet(leading the users to believe it's
not opening at all) and when it does open the formatting is horrible. I have
samples but did not see where to attach them to the issue.

Can reproduce it in OOo310m11 on WinXP.
Is it a special attachment? Or you can redo the document at any time?

I'm not sure what you mean but "special" attachment? Would you be able to put
more detail in your response? Could you also explain what "OOo310m11" is as
well?
Thank you,
Jen

Hi,

parsing a 1.7 Megabyte HTML file do cost it's time.

Your problem with the 'horrible' look of the imported file is because the file
opens in Writer/Web which is pretty normal as the file is an HTML file with an
XLS Extension. You can avoid this by selecting one of the HTML filters for Calc
under the 'Files of type :' drop down box in the file open dialog.

Regarding the long loading times there is Issue 86650.
