Hello!!!

I have both Microsoft Office XP and Open Office 3.0.1 .

When I right click in a .TXT file to select it to be opened with sWriter, the
sWriter appears twice in the programs to open it.

It should only appear once in the right click options.

I checked with "Ooo 3.1.0 RC2 multilingual version German UI WIN XP: [OOO310m11
(Build 9399)]" and can NOT confirm the reported effect for text documents.

But I found a similar problem for EXCEL.xls documents, and I already saw similar
problems several times. In my screenshot you will see 2 icons in the context
menu that will open the same 3.1.0 OOo for an EXCEL document, and in the past I
saw such effects very often. But I am not sure whether this is a general
problems, because I installed and uninstalled app. 100 OOo versions during the
last years (some obscure ones), and so it might be that some of these
installations might have caused this problem only in my particular case.

Definitively not a WRITER problem.

No idea how to get this problem reproducible

Please contribute more information concerning your OOo use history and with what
propeties you installed OOo ("uninstall old versions", ...")!

Hello!

It is the first time I install OOo on my PC.

I installed the English US version of OOo 3.0.1 and added the Portuguese speller
and Thesaurus extension, and also updated the French dictionary and the other
things (English dictionary?) that needed to be updated.

But I installed V2 on mom's laptop and later updated it to V3 when it came out
in Portuguese.

Mom has Windows Vista and the Portuguese version of OpenOffice.

I don't know how to help more in this issue.
