Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 101715
Numbers in formulae are destroyed when exporting to password-protected PDF
Last modified: 2009-12-02 09:09:29 UTC
When I export a Writer file to a password-protected PDF (Tagged PDF), then numbers in formulae created with the formula editor (using Times New Roman fonts) are sometimes, not always, replaced by strange characters from some other font.

Please attach a sample odt document. Regards JBF
Created attachment 62142 [details] Example file, sometimes creates problems in Table on p. 10, upper right cell
Created attachment 62143 [details] Example pdf with the problem, the next pdf generated 2 min later did not have the problem
@HDU: Any idea? Looks like a cuneiform font (?). Couldn't find any "extra" font embedded in the pdf... Else I cannot reproduce it.
These strange digits are Arabic-Indic digits... @hbrinkm, @tl: The issue reminds me of issue 86811, which was supposed to be fixed for OOo2.4.1. This issue seems to be a remainder of the problem left in the math editor.
I can't reproduce the problem with OO 3.1 from Debian unstable (000310m11)
I can't always reproduce it myself: sometimes it works ok, sometimes it doesn't. Using Ubuntu 9.04 ...
Cannot reproduce the problem on Windows XP and SUSE 10.x. Will try on ubuntu 9.0.4 later.
Unfortunately, as many people cannot reproduce it and the reporter only "sometimes", this issue is WORKSFORME.
