Description ahamedck 2009-05-13 09:10:33 UTC
Hi all,
I had an earlier problem of not showing the REPLACE tab in the AutoCorrect and
it was attended by someone but not yet seem to be solved. Now, I have re
installed the latest version 3.1 yesterday. There was so many problems in
installation. But however, I have managed the same. at the end the openoffice
startup it does not come up. trying indefinitely the recovery of a file namely
untitled file. The screen shots are saved in my desktop if necessary i will
attach it. I am using Fedora Core 10 in an Intel machine.

Kindly help me.

Do you use the vanilla OOo 3.1 or the FC distributed one? Where have you
downloaded OOo from? Have you tried to remove/rename the folder with the user
settings: .openoffice.org in your $HOME? Have you tried to cancel the recovery
(see screenshot3)?

I used the vanilla OOo3.1. There was a 3.0 version of OO which had a problem --
it will not show up the REPLACE tab in the Autocorrect dialogue window.......

So, i have downloaded the 3.1 directly from the download site and installed.

I have not tried to rename or remove the user settings.... to be frank .. I do
not know.

I have tried to cancel the autorecovery. But ..... it repeats the same. and
that excatly the problem........

No one has ever confirmed your issue. So it's not a general OOo problem. Your
profile folder is named .openoffice. Open a shell and cd to your home directory
and remove your settings folder('rm -rf .openoffice.org'). Restart the office.

Ok

Thank God,

It solved my problem. But my previous autocorrect details lost.......

Ok then.....
