Description camillem 2009-05-20 16:54:34 UTC
When you change the content of your footer, it doesn't get updated properly and
is updated differently on the different slides.
Steps to reproduce the problem
Open the FooterNotUpdated.odp File attached
Go to slide 1 : check that the footer reads "Initial footer"
Go to slide 2 : check that the footer reads "Initial footer"
Go to slide 3 : check that the footer reads "Initial footer"
Go back to slide 1
View >Header and footer : change the footer into "New footer". Validate with
"Apply everywhere"
On slide 1, you can see that the footer still reads "Initial footer"
Go to slide 2, you can see that the footer still reads "Initial footer"
Go to slide 3, you can see that the footer now reads "New footer"
Go back to slide 1, you can see that the footer now reads "New footer"
Go to slide 2, you can see that the footer still reads "Initial footer"
Zoom in, zoom out : you can see that the footer now reads "New footer"
Great, but...
Go to slide 1, View >Header and footer : change the footer into "Third footer".
Validate with "Apply everywhere"
On slide 1, you can see that the footer still reads "New footer"
Go to slide 2, you can see that the footer still reads "New footer"
Go to slide 3, you can see that the footer now reads "Third footer"
Go back to slide 1, you can see that the footer now reads "Third footer"
Go to slide 2, you can see that the footer still reads "New footer"
Zoom in, zoom out : this time, it doesn't change, it still reads "New footer".
Click on "Handout" (view), click on "Normal" (view)
Go back to slide 2, you can see that the footer now reads "Third footer" as it
should...
Etc.
You have different behaviours according to you initial presentation: in a real
life example, zooming in and out won't work, switching to layout mode helps most
of the time.
Just let me know if you need further information

TestCase with Footer set to initial value
Comment 2 camillem 2009-05-20 16:57:19 UTC
One additionnal detail : in the example, slide 2 uses a different master page
from slide 1 and 3.
In my real life example I use 6 different master pages, which may explains why
things go so bad.
