Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 102651
Exporting as HTML reduces the image size
Last modified: 2017-05-20 11:08:43 UTC
If I create a presentation and go to File->Export and in File Type I put HTML Document it shows up a wizard. In the 3rd page of this wizard there is an option to set the Monitor Resolution (640x480, 800x600, 1024x768). - Whenever I mark 1024x768, the outputted jpgs are saved as 800x600 images. - If I choose 800x600, I get images with 640x480. - if I choose 640x480, I get images with 480x360. I needed to export my slides as 1024x768 jpgs, but for that reason I couldn't (unless I manually have exported as JPG each one of the 100s slides).
Reproducible. Reassigned.

This has been discussed before: Issue 13813 - Export as webpage - image resolution not correct Response from 'cl': " ... for the 100th time, thats a feature and not a bug. If you export for a MONITOR resolution of 800x600 it would make NO sense to have pictures of 800x600 since there would be NO space left for UI, for Navigation and such. So in short, the simple user selects his target MONITOR resolution and impress chooses the apropriate picture resolution for him. ..." It would seem that this does not meet the User's expectation (or wg's!). Should be reviewed. In a later bug report: Issue 42617 - Problem with html export in OpenOffice Impress It is described as being a fixed bug?...
