Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 10339
Undo does not undo properties as blinking or shadow
Last modified: 2003-09-08 16:56:16 UTC
[note : I've got the french version only, and don't know the exact translations :-( ] To reproduce : * New document. * Type some text. * Do something undoable (eg : Type some more text after a newline) * Select the text. * Right click -> Edit style (In french : "Editer le style de paragraphe") * Tab effect (In french : "Effet de caractères") * Select shadow or blink * OK Now, the text is blinking/Shadow * Click undo The action before making the text blink is undone, but the text is still blinking.
Reassigned to MRU
It is not possible to make UNDO on changes to styles. Only hard formattings (such as changes via Format.Character or Format.Paragraph) are stored in the UNDO buffer. It was never planned to have UNDO for style changes (and it is not in the future).
Closed, because a missing feature, which will not be implemented due to the high effort and too low impact.
The problem is a bit more than it seems to be because undoing puts the document in a state that has never existed before, and so without warning. But well, I don't have the skills and the time to fix it so I can't force you ;-)
