Description spalmer 2009-07-17 00:37:42 UTC
Attempt to update software unsuccessful. Need DEP-compatible version of the
program if available. Installation automatically canceled by Windows DEP.
Please advise.

I have the same problem. I installed OO - Open Office 3.4.1 and the installation was interrupted and then sends this error message "in order to protect your computer, Windows the program ended." After searching, I found that it is the DEP on the computer system in system / Advanced tab / Performance / Settings DEP. However, there didn´t help anything in set and can´t set the pragram that DEP will not close (can be set only for installed
programs and I have not installed OO) Another option is load utility from microsoft to disable DEP, but even this did not help. Because Microsoft says that it is protection against potential serious threat, so we turn to the developers of the product. I have Win XP and two years I ran OO without problems until I uninstalled it and wanted to install it again. For my check It did not help clean up the registry and the folder "temp" or system restore to an older date or be install older versions of OO and Libre Office.
Always not allow system installation. At home, I installed it on Win 7 and my friend on Win 8 and everything went fine.
It was this problem solved? What I can be doing?
Thank Peconka
