Description alan 2009-08-02 15:02:05 UTC
Note the second and third lines on the right in the screenshots of page 7 from
the attached document. On the screen the text looks fine, while in the printed
copy, the characters are printed one on top of the other. Remove the weak chars,
and the text prints fine. This is high priority for RTL users. If experts can't
handle this right away, please indicate where the code is, so I can handle it
myself. Thanks.

Comment 5 alan 2009-08-03 06:23:59 UTC
Updating OS entry to be "Windows XP". I haven't tested on other versions of Windows.

MRU->HDU: see the bold characters on the top right of page 7. They seem to have
a wrong character spacing when printed.
Comment 7 hennerdrewes 2009-08-04 10:27:20 UTC
As far as I could see, the expanded character position attribute is somehow
connected to the misplaced output.

Created a minimal bugdoc.

What is strange: After copying the offensive lines to a new document, it does
not show the faulty behavior.

Attaching the minimal bugdoc and the newly created document with the same text
lines.

The difference between the documents that the "bad" one has Tools->Options->Writer->Compatibility-
>UsePrinterMetrics enabled and the "good" document uses printer-independent layout...

Reset assigne to the default "issues@openoffice.apache.org".
