Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 104020
Y axis scaling problem with stock chart
Last modified: 2013-02-24 21:20:57 UTC
I tried in DEV300m54, and m53 but it is not selectable version, now. It is the same in both version. Open attached file, click into any of the four chart to edit, click out. The Y axis get scale max size:30. If you edit manually to 6, and later set back as automatic value, size go back to 30. It is good in 3.1, no scaling change if you click into. It seems to me some regression.

Sorry, i can't reproduce. I set the scale manual to 6, and it have been retained unchanged after leave and switch chart inplace- Also after reload the whole doc. Version m52 and m53. But if i set the mark for automatic value the value 30 are set (as expected)
"But if i set the mark for automatic value the value 30 are set (as expected)" It is not expected for me, I expect 6, if you see same data in 3.1, file gives 6. All data around 4-5 why need for them max value on chart 30. It looks bad. See attached screenshots, type 3 and 4 charts, stock data overshadoved by Volume data, in m55, and clear in OOo 3.1 version.

Yes, this is a regression. Thanks for finding this bug!
Fixed in CWS chart41.
@Thomas, please verify in CWS chart41. Load the attached example ods. Double click any chart. The scaling should not change.
Seen ok in cws chart41 -> verified
Verified in DEV300_m59. Closing.
