Description nakashima99 2009-08-06 20:58:57 UTC
This bug started from Ooo 3.1 to the latest developer release. I
remember, there was not any such a bug in Ooo 2.x. This has happened in Windows
Vista, Windows XP and Ubuntu Jaunty. Each date or time is formatted according to
default cell format e.g when I type 6.7.1998 nothing happens, but when I type 6
July 1998 calc overrides it with default settings:6.7.1998.The same is happening
with the time: default time is: 8:00:00. I tried to change default language (my
default language shoud be Slovak), but nothing happens. I tried to change
default formatting, but after restart it was on default settings and it is
annoying, when I must change every date and time formatting, when I want to type
different time format.

P.S:In Exel 2007 time and date settings respond to time and date settings
respond to settings in each OS. So thare is no annoying overriding of date and
time, like in Ooo 2.x.

Thanks

Removing target.
Please do not set targets on issues, if you are not willing to carry out the work.

Calc should not alter user input.

I can confirm this bug. These dates (in Czech) work correctly:
- 10. červen 2013
- 1. srpen 2010
- 5. září 2007

But these ones are treated as texts:
- 2. červenec 2001
- 10. červenec 2009

It seems to be related only to July ("červenec" in Czech).
