Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 104299
At some zoom levels the bars of the equal symbol from OpenSymbol v 1.21 are rendered with different thickness
Last modified: 2010-05-05 13:58:17 UTC
At some zoom levels the bars of the equal symbol from OpenSymbol v 1.21 are rendered with different thickness. This happens in all applications, no matter if subpixel rendering is on or off. I've tested with OOo (Calc, Math, Writer) and with Word 2000. Older versions of the font had this issue too, which has been reported many times: - Issue 53688 - Issue 54182 - Issue 87901, desc7 - Issue 99047, desc19

Created attachment 65855 [details] new Version (2.0) of OpenSymbol Font
@all: please test the new version of the font
-> ih Seems to be a bit better than before, but I still see the bad rendering in the testcase at the following zoom levels (Windows Vista, 1280x800, subpixel rendering on): 147%-153% 248%-253% 348%-353% 448%-453% 548%-553% 648%-653% And so on :-)
Created attachment 66627 [details] New Version 2.3 of OpenSymbol Font
please test with new version 2.3 of the font
-> ih Tested with OOo 2.4 (Windows XP) and OOo 3.1 (Windows Vista) and the v2.3 font looks great. So this issue seems to be fixed :-) Thank you!
