Description caolanm 2009-08-26 12:47:35 UTC
cmc->erack: timseves cc'ed here wants to have page numbering in Tai Lue digits
(and in other unicode digits e.g. Unicode 5.2 1A81... Tai Tham Hora Digits).

We do have a "Native Numbering" option, but that one would require adding "tai"
or "khb" locales support to OOo and I see that we allow selecting a range of
specific CJK numbering types, e.g. NUMBER_TRADITIONAL_JA, NUMBER_UPPER_ZH_TW and
so on, but we don't list any existing CTL ones.

So, should we support here specific numbering formats to explicitly select the
digits to use for numbering, i.e. basically the list at the bottom of
http://unicode.org/Public/5.2.0/ucd/extracted/DerivedNumericType-5.2.0d5.txt
We have some of these supported through "Native Numbering", and some not. As an
example here's Tai Lue numbering.

I'm adding this comment to all open issues with Issue Type == PATCH. We have 220 such issues, many of them quite old. I apologize for that.

We need your help in prioritizing which patches should be integrated into our next release, Apache OpenOffice 4.0.

If you have submitted a patch and think it is applicable for AOO 4.0, please respond with a comment to let us know.

On the other hand, if the patch is no longer relevant, please let us know that as well.

If you have any general questions or want to discuss this further, please send a note to our dev mailing list: dev@openoffice.apache.org

Thanks!
