Description Uwe Altmann 2009-09-20 12:51:12 UTC
In Aqua native filepicker it is not possible to select/follow an alias of a folder in "Save as…"-Dialog.

Step by step:
Create an alias of a folder somewhere.
Be sure not to use OOo-dialogs but the aqua native one (Preferences > OpenOffice.org > General),
Open or create a new OOo document. Try "Save" (or "save as…" with an existing one) and try to select
the alias of that folder to save it into the referenced folder - the alias is grayed and nothing will
happen.
Expected behavior: Click on the alias opens the referenced folder like the folder symbol itself would do.

btw:
OOo filepicker will do it right (except of not showing filenames of non-OOo-files at all - next issue :-)
)
Selecting an alias of a file instead of that of a folder, the name of the alias will be inserted into the
"Save as" text field which determines the name of the file to save; this is the expected behavior.
Open…-Dialog is working fine with folder aliases.
