Description rene 2009-09-28 09:15:13 UTC
as $SUBJECT says. And libdbu??.so (and that is a good thing, please don't change
this!!) is in oobasis3.2-base. So if you don't install Base you get a crash in
Writer when you click on Tools->B ibliography database crashes when libdbu??.so
not there.

How to reproduce:

Either:
  - rm libdbu??li.so
  - remove oobasis3.2-base (or don't install it)

terminate called after throwing an instance of
'com::sun::star::loader::CannotActivateFactoryException'
Comment 2 michael.ruess 2009-09-28 09:28:09 UTC
MRU->OS: if base component is not installed, Biblio should be disabled?

Maybe it's better to notify user with pop-up window that he need to install Base
component to use "Bibliography database", otherwise it's may confuse user if
this option will be disabled.
Comment 8 Prosper Uniger 2013-07-16 18:12:50 UTC
crashes should be blockers, no?

It's quite easy to reproduce:
 - install AOO without the base component
   (it's probably the least used part of AOO)
 - open/create a text document
 - click Tools->Bibliography database
-> crash

I ran into it the first day trying 4.0 dev

please try to fix in final, thanks

Issue still reproduces in AOO 4.1.1 Rev. 1617669, following the same steps mentioned by Prosper Uniger.
