Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 105627
Autofit text turns off when exporting to PPT
Last modified: 2009-10-08 12:38:38 UTC
When you export from ODP to MS PPT, placeholders that had "Autofit Text" enabled loses the autofitting. To replicate: 1) create new slide in ODP. 2) enable "Autofit Text" for the placeholder. 3) enter maybe about 10 bullets points of text such autofitting kicks in. 4) save file as MS PPT 97/2000/XP format. 5) open PPT in a MS PPT XP. 6) you will see that the autofitting is lost. Autofit in MS PPT XP can be re-enabled by clicking on the autocorrection button beside the placeholder, BUT you would have to do this for EACH placeholder which is a real pain if you have many slides.
Please attach an odp file with these settings for testing.
Created attachment 65208 [details] ODP slide that has text autofitted
Created attachment 65209 [details] ODP slide when exported to PPT and viewed in MS-PPT (all versions) no longer is autofitted
For clarification, the ODP slide is created in Linux, exported to PPT in Linux, and then viewed in MS-PPT in Windows.
