Description Rainer Bielefeld 2009-10-14 07:47:00 UTC
Steps to reproduce:

1. Create new presentation
2. Insert 'Symbol shapes -> Smiley'
3. Right click -> 'Custom Animation ... -> Add -> Entrance -> Exciting -> Put on
   the Brakes' <ok>
4. Start Presentation with <f9>, click until smiley appears
   expected: "normal" smiley shown with effects
   actual: moving smiley completely destroyed (pls. see my screenshots), after
           stop some "stick" is visible at the smiley

Works fine with "Ooo 3.1.1 WIN XP DE-multilingual version German UI activated
[OOO310m19 (Build 9420)]"!

This one might be related to other issues concerning hardware acceleration.

Sorry, not reproducible here on XP with m60. Seems to be hardware depending if
this happens or not. Reassigned. @cl: any idea what this could be?
Comment 3 Rainer Bielefeld 2009-10-24 15:50:16 UTC
Reproducible with "Ooo-Dev 3.2.0 English version WIN XP: [OOO320m2 (Build 9432)]
on PC
Graphic Card: Nvidia  GeForce 6100
Processor: Amd Sempron 2800+
Monitor : 1024*768

I forgot an important detail, the problem is only visible if the animation has
been started by key press, pls. see attached testfile.

@sibaweg:
Similar effects with LINUX?

Both a self made presentation and rainerbielefeld's attachement work on SuSE
10.1. OOO310m21 with Nvidia Quadro FX 560.
Comment 6 tanias 2009-11-15 10:21:14 UTC
I performed additional testing based in the issue description and I managed to
recreate the problem, and I can add another related examples.

My scenario:

1.	Open a new Presentation file in the Impress application
2.	In the first slide click in the Graphic toolbar (in the low part of the
screen) and choose Symbol Shapes-->Moon
3.	Place the “Moon” anywhere in the slide. (I putted in the down right corner,
but the position don’t change the result of the test)
4.	Select the shape (Moon)
5.	Click on “Task” panel (right side of the window)-->Custom animation-->Modify
effect-->Add  button
6.	Select the “Basic-->Wheel” effect. And press “OK”
7.	In the “Effect Wheel” Parameters set the follow:
     a.	Start = With Previous
     b.	Spokes = 1
     c.	Speed = Medium
8.	Press F9 to run the Slide Show

Result-->During and at the end of the animation effect the Moon image will be
distorted (see attachment “Moon_after_presentation.jpg”)

9.	Retest the steps 7-8 with the new parameters :
    a.	Start = “On Click” and “After Previous”
    b.	Speed = “Fast”, “Very Fast” and “Slow”

Result-->Same results as previous for every combination of above values (see
same attachment “Moon_after_presentation.jpg”)

10.	In the same slide place a “Heart” (from the “Symbol Shapes” menu) in the up
left corner.
11.	After selecting the Heart shape click on Custom animation-->Modify
effect-->Add  button
12.	Select the “Exciting-->Boomerang” effect with the following parameters”
    a.	Start = “On click”
    b.	Spokes = 1
    c.	Speed = Fast

Result--> At the end of the presentation both images will be distorted (see
attachment “moon_heart_after_presentation.JPG”)

13.	Change the animation effect of the “Heart” to one of the follow:
    a.	Sling, Pinwheel, moving credits, Glide and Bounce.

Result--> Same result as previous tests

    b.	Boomerang, Floating, Magnify, Put on the Breaks and Spiral in

Result--> During the presentation the Heart image will be distorted but at the
end of the presentation the Heart will be “normal”.

Note – The distortion not always look the same, but I didn’t find any
consistency in this matter
Comment 7 tanias 2009-11-15 10:36:18 UTC
In time:
This image distortion only happens when "hardware acceleration" parameter (in
Options--> View) is checked. Otherwise it behave normally as expected.

no longer reproducible with "Ooo-Dev 3.2.0 multilingual version English UI WIN
XP: [OOO320m2 (Build 9432)]"?

@tanias:
Pls specify aour OS!
I was not abel to reproduce your problem with "Ooo-Dev 3.2.0 multilingual
version English UI WIN XP: [OOO320m2 (Build 9432)]"
Can you confirm that your problem vanishes with 320m2?
