Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 10594
Use number formats from Calc for dimensions
Last modified: 2013-02-07 22:43:31 UTC
I use Draw for a simple drafting tool. However, working with Imperial measures, I'd like to (a) state the precision I need my dimensions in, and (b) get them formatted as fractions. I can do that in some other drawing tools, including Visio. It seems to me that using the number formats from CALC would give me both features. I'd expect this to be on the Dimensions... UI.
Set to new.
Reassigned to Bettina.

I've upgraded consistently. 3.0 supports (a) of my suggestion, but not (b), that is, it still does not support fractional formats. It is still an approximation, as opposed to the rational arithmetic support in Calc. That is, in Calc, I can get 5 / 3 to display 1 2/3 (and more importantly for my application, 5.0625 to be 5 1/16)
