Description mag4 2009-10-26 15:01:11 UTC
We have a MySQL 5.1.34 server with character set UTF-8 Unicode (utf8) and
collation utf8_general_ci. If we use ODBC connector everything is ok, but if we
use MySQL connector 1.0 accented letters and so on are wrong.

Comment 2 Mechtilde 2009-11-02 10:16:48 UTC
I saw it some times before when I used the JDBC driver, nor with the nativ mysql
connector
Comment 3 mag4 2009-11-02 12:24:39 UTC
Do you need some more info?
Comment 4 Mechtilde 2009-11-22 09:46:54 UTC
yes can you attach some screenshots showing the problem

Which distribution do you use?

Do you use OpenOffice.org and the mysql connection from that distribution?

Thank you for your answer, due to your questions we discover that the problem is
not in the MySQL connector but in the ODBC connector.
We verify MySQL tables with Phpmyadmin and we find that accented letters and so
on match perfectly using MySQL connector and mismatch using ODBC connector.
We will now start use MySQL connector in production, correcting the errors due
to the ODBC connector.
I change the issue to INVALID, thank you very much!
