Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 106457
Complex Table change column width bug
Last modified: 2017-05-20 11:33:47 UTC
When you have a table which is comprised of multiple rows, but differing numbers of columns, when you attempt to make a change in column width (by entering a value in the change column width tool) to the same column, or group of columns within a subset of rows which you have selected by any method of column selection, all attempts at column width change after you have changed the column width once is ignored (no column width change is done by the application) UNTIL you perform a SAVE operation to the file, at which time you can successfully make the change. Contact me if you need any more detail 100% repeatable.
Please read: http://qa.openoffice.org/issue_handling/basic_rules.html http://www.openoffice.org/scdocs/ddIssues_EnterModify.html#priority Not a P1 Please attach a sample document and give a step by step description of what you do, get and expect. Are you aware that you described a whole process in 1 8-lines long sentence and that it's not really easy to understand? :)

MRU->OS: open attached document, place cursor in cell B1 and try to change the column width in table dialog -> only the first row will be changed. This works correctly when you do it directly by dragging the column border.
