Description r4zoli 2009-11-09 15:39:57 UTC
Data series can not be set as in Chart in Calc, only selectable from field
names, which is not useful.
In stock chart you want to show one company stocks prices high/low, opening/
closing values and daily trading values.
If you create table with these data to contain maybe the field names will be a
date, volume, open, close, high, low and some table name.
Now the Chart module integrated into SRB you can only select one field names as
labels, which is good for volumens only. But you can not add a company stocks
name/abbrev. to Chart as in Calc. See example in spreadsheet attached to issue
My suggestion to use table/query name as data ranges name, or give directly
editable value in some way.

Attached is a spreadsheet document containing the data from "Table1" of the
database attached to issue 106736, and a stock chart.

Basically, what's missing in Base is an equivalent to the "stock prices" text.
That is, in Chart's "Data Ranges" dialog, you can select a single (spreadsheet)
cell whose content controls the name of the data series. There's no equivalent
for this in SRB.
