Description afante 2009-12-09 04:04:54 UTC
First of all, Open Office is a wonderful project. It helps me much!
But sometimes it also make me mad.
One of the problem is its auto correction function.
I really suggest to set the undo function into multiple steps when auto
correction is involved, and the auto correction step MUST happen the latest.

The situation is as follows:
In Writer, I enter a URL and press enter to start a new line. The URL is
automatically changed into a hyperlink. However I don't want it, I would like
the URL be plain text. Then I press ctrl-Z. The hyperlink disappears but the new
line is also deleted!! I press enter again, the hyperlink appear again. I cannot
kill the hyperlink only without killing my precious new line!!

The situation is worse in Calc. I typed "IT..." in a cell. As long as I leave
the sell, the initial "IT", standing for Infomation Technology,
deterministically become "It". I didn't find how to stop it without turning off
the auto correction. There could be many other similar cases.

**NOTE** This phenomenon happens when "IT" is immediately followed by Asian
characters. If "IT" is followed by a space, it does not change.

So, what I seriously suggest is to enable the Undo command to remove effect of
the auto correction ONLY WITHOUT removing the work that triggered the auto
correction.

Comprehension and improvements from the project teams will be highly appreciated!

Thank you!!

NOT Reproducible with "Ooo 3.1.1 WIN XP DE-multilingual version English UI
activated [OOO310m19 (Build 9420)]"!

0. Open new document (Calc or WRITER, does not matter)
1. Activate Autocorrect (all options)
2. insert Text "http://de.openoffice.org/doc/"
3. Press <space>, hyperlink will be added to text
4. press 'undo' button
hyperlink will be removed, but not the blank after the hyperlink text, so
that the hyperlink will not reappear when you continue typing text.

   Same
12. Type "Here are Accesories"
13. Press <space>, word "Accesories" will be modified to "Accesories"
14. press 'undo' button
word will be modified back to "Accesories", the blank after the word
remains, so that the modification will not reappear when you continue
    typing text.

But indeed, reproducible with "Ooo 3.1.1 WIN XP DE-multilingual version English
UI activated [OOO310m19 (Build 9420)]":
20. go to CALC document with activated Autocorrect (all options)
22. insert Text "http://de.openoffice.org/doc/"
23. Press <Tab>, hyperlink will be added to text, cell cursor moves to next
   cell
24. press 'undo' button
complete cell contents will be removed

Same inconsitence in WRITER: you can eliminate hyperlink when you typed <tab> or
<shift>+<enter>, but not when you typed <enter> after hyperlinkk text (as reported)

This one might be a DUP of Issue 89604 (or vice versa ...)
