Description erasergerman 2009-12-14 09:02:34 UTC
I get an error with
=SUCHEN("S";"BO")
or
=FINDEN("S";"BO")
Comment 1 Rainer Bielefeld 2009-12-15 12:14:32 UTC
Afaik "#VALUE!" is the normal message for 'string not found') here, but I agree,
help should mention that. I see missing hint in 3.1.1 and "Ooo-Dev 3.2.0
multilingual version English UI WIN XP: [OOO320m7 (Build 9461)]"!

@erasergerman:
Please give precise information ("error message "WERT!") instead of such rare
"an error"
Comment 2 Uwe Fischer 2009-12-15 12:35:47 UTC
ufi->nn: this gives error message "Wrong data type" in the Status bar.
Is that correct?
Comment 3 erasergerman 2009-12-15 14:49:24 UTC
The function is in german calc

in englisch search and find???
Comment 4 niklas.nebel 2009-12-15 16:58:01 UTC
The error "#VALUE!" for SEARCH and FIND is intentional should remain that way
for compatibility. The description doesn't completely fit in this case, but I'm
not sure if we can do much about it. The old, unspecific "No result" message
wouldn't help much more, I guess.
Comment 5 Uwe Fischer 2009-12-18 10:21:44 UTC
will be changed after integration of hccalc01
Comment 6 thorsten.ziehm 2010-09-30 15:34:21 UTC
CWS "hccalc01" is targeted for OOo 3.4. Therefore I change the target of this
issue to OOo 3.4 too.
Comment 7 Uwe Fischer 2011-01-21 12:26:00 UTC
setting target
Comment 8 Marcus 2017-05-20 11:33:25 UTC
Reset assigne to the default "issues@openoffice.apache.org".
