would like to have the currency symbol (Fr./USD/€ or other) aligned on the left
of the cell and the amount on the right.
 
better if the left and right alignments are not completely positionned at the
beginning and at the end of the cell.

Confirming. Would be nice to have.

Adjusting Priority per definition for "nice-to-have" from P1 to P5.

Adding issue as blocker to issue #15522. MS Excel Formatcode for the intended 
behavior is: $* 0

This is almost certainly a duplicate of some already existing feature request,
