Created attachment 67091 [details] the file which makes OO writer crash when this file is being closed
I changed subcomponent to "editing" and could attach the file.
Sorry, this file does not belong here. If you can, remove it, but anyhow it is unrelated to this issue.
Not reproducible with "Ooo 3.1.1 WIN XP DE[OOO310m19 (Build 9420)]" (Using function 'MTRANS')! NOT reproducible with "Ooo-Dev 3.3.0 multilingual version English UI WIN XP: [DEV300m69 (Build 9475)]"! @q0k: What OOo localization do you use? Your step by step instruction differs from summary, please check and explain!
Sorry, the previous steps to reproduce reproduce this issue only sometimes; the following reproduce it always: 1 open OO Calc 2 type "=transpose(A1:A2)" (without quotes) in B2 cell 3 press Enter key on keyboard to exit from the cell 4 double-click the B2 cell to edit again 5 replace ":" with ";" 6 add ";" (without quotes) at the end of the line 7 press Home key on keyboard 8 type "(" it will be before the "=" sign 9 OO Calc crashes I will probably try to attach a video.
Created attachment 67106 [details] video of OO Calc crash
Still not reproducible. What tool do you use to see those help tooltipps while typing?
I'm sorry that you can't reproduce. I tested it at another Windows XP computer, and made a successful crash. In Tools, Options, OOo, General, Help section, I have the "tips" check-box selected, but not the "extended tips" one.
This could (sometimes) crash in 3.1.1, but it was fixed for 3.2, with crash reporter bug #160063#.
Closing, the fix is already in 3.2 RC builds.
