Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 108226
"superscript" text in draing object jumps slightly whem leaving text-edit mode
Last modified: 2013-08-07 15:40:43 UTC
After updateing to OO rel3.1.1 the following regression occurs: when setting the position of text in a graphical object (like a rectangle or a circuit) to hight (menu: formating - characters / register: positioning), horizontal spacing is too small after leaving the object. While modifying the text, the spacing is correct rendered. This effect is visible on monitor as well as on printer. I would like to add an attachment with 1 page and 3 examples. But at this point I do not see a way how to do this.
Created attachment 67122 [details] high positioning text in graphical object
MRU->WG: I can confirm this. But it also happens in Draw so I think it is more for a Draw developer. Could you please reassign? Thanks. to reproduce: create a drawing object, enter normal text in it, now change char format to "superscript", type some more text and leave object -> text is positioned a few pixel differently. Happens everytime you enter/leave the object. Regression from OOo 3.1 to 3.1.1.
Reproducible in 3.1.1 but not in OOO320_m9 anymore.
Closed.
The described effect is the same as in draw, like mentioned by user mru. When filling text in a drawing object and apply superscript to this text, rendering of the text will change by leaving the object. Horizontal spacing will shrink, the characters are overlapped. When entering the object again, the text is shown correct again. This happens every time you enter / leave the object.
@gebade: and you can still reproduce this behavior in OOo320_m8 ? If this only occurs in 3.1.1 and not in a current version it makes no sense to keep this open...
close issue unless it can be confirm with 3.3 or later.
close issue.
