Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 108804
DOCX: crash opening file having drawing objects in header
Last modified: 2013-08-07 14:44:07 UTC
The attached file crashes OOo on load. I have tested this file against all (well, almost) possible derivative works of OOo incl. Lotus Symphony 1.3, GO-OO, OO Novell Ed, NeoOffice. I have tested these applications on Windows XP, Win7, MacOSX and ubuntu 9.04. The result is the same - the application crashes upon load. I have schema-validated the document using Microsoft OpenXmlSDK as well as office-o-tron, and the file appeasr to be (schema) valid. The fil was originally created by Microsoft Office 2007 a couple of years ago (in 2007), but it has been edited by hand by me.
Created attachment 67493 [details] Anonymized OOXML-file
Reproducible with "Ooo-Dev 3.3.0 multilingual version English UI WIN XP: [DEV300m70 (Build 9478)]"! No crash report ID available.
MRU->HBRINKM: see attached .docx, it will crash when importing in OOo. After removing the objects anchored inside header (on page 2) the document will import without crash.
works for me in CWS writerfilter08
Set target to fit CWS.
Can this be moved to development release? Latest dev version is still crashing.
As written before, this issue does not occur in CWS writerfilter08 which is not integrated, yet. Keep an eye to the URL below to check when it is integrated. http://eis.services.openoffice.org/EIS2/cws.ShowCWS?Id=9218&OpenOnly=false&Section=Overview

"Closed" is incorrect state for "fixed in CWS"...
Fixed in CWS writerfilter08_ooo330.
Verified in CWS writerfilter08_ooo330, will be integrated in OOo 3.3 branch soon.
Also verified in CWS writerfilter08 for dev branch.
Checked in OOO330m5.
