Description montyfrisian 2010-02-27 16:40:48 UTC
It appears my OO 3.2 crashes each time I open a new document (labels/etiketts).
This first step is still ok (a window opens, offering me three choices: labels/
etiketts, formal, additional function); the middle option is displayed
(format), but when I try clicking the first option (labels..), the programme
crashes. It worked perfectly with version 2.4. on the same platform, though.

By the way: I've got a German version and don't know exactly the terms the the
English version uses

I use the current version of a KDE-Linux-system.

Do you work with OOo downloaded from openoffice.org or the one provided by your
Linux distributor?
Comment 2 montyfrisian 2010-03-02 15:50:01 UTC
I use one that has been provided by Debian official sources.
But there's something else:
1. I think I remember that I
either replaced the "empty document" archive of the new installation with the
one from my old installation, just to save installing all the personal empty
documents,
or I copied the latter into the new archive.
2. The said Open Office process works alright on a parallel user account on the
same machine.
Should I re-install?

Please re-install and use the official builds from openoffice.org download page.
