Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 109965
Advance slide cannot be set with empty sildes
Last modified: 2013-08-07 15:20:06 UTC
create new presentation insert slide go to first slide click Slide transition on taks pane choose automatically after > area Advance slide is greyed out go to second slide try the same > area Advance slide is greyed out this behaviour changes for the second slide when you add another slide or when you add a shape or so to the slide
works fine in 3.2.0 > regression
Sorry, not reproducible. I do not have anything greying out there..
only reproducable with steps as written (or close to those) Send you a video by mail ...
Thanks for the video. Which OS are you on?
sorry forgotten to set: Ubuntu 9.10
Is there a preview when you assign a slide transition to a slide?
no. But when I add a shape to the 1st slide, I can set the transition. But after that, when selecting By mouse click, the area greys out again ...
( ... and when I set the transition, there is a preview )
I can confirm this in so far that - when applying the transition to the first slide - all options below "Advance slide" are greyed with the button "slideshow" as exception. The pane works correctly for the second slide though. But: If i click on the first slide again on the "Slides pane" the options on the "Advance slide" pane are reset to default (data loss). When trying to set the automatic transition for the second time the pane behaves correctly - the settings are remembered and the pane remains active. So we have a somewhat random behavior here. I used CWS ab76 (32bit) on Ubuntu 9.10 "Karmic" (64bit) for this and can provide a test environment.
Thanks for testing! Reassigned.
Changing target.
Changing target and owner.
I reviewed the code in question and found out that this may have been caused by the slides pane on the left returning an empty selection in some cases. Since this may be dendend on the focus in the past (focus in slide pane vs. slide pane) this also explains the 'random behaviour' that is described here. Since the issue was reported, the slidesorter code has been reworked completly and this included the slide pane on the left. I can not reproduce the issue and I'm very certain it was fixed with the slidesorter rework, somewhere around m86. cl->wg: please verify that this issue is no longer reproducable cl->cor: your feedback is also welcome
Could not reproduce anymore in DEV300M101. Please feel free to reopen the issue if this still occurs . Thanks.
