Description hagar_de_lest 2010-03-14 11:29:52 UTC
Regression in 3.2. Now if a selection is pasted after a paragraph having a list
setting (bullet/number either from direct formatting or from paragraph style),
that list is also applied to the whole pasted part.

If the list setting is removed, then the pasted selection correctly gets its
initial formatting. This extra step to remove the list should not be necessary.
A paste operation should forget about the previous formatting.

I can confirm this issue (on WinXP) with OOo 3.2.0 and DEV300_m72.
(OOo 3.1.1 and 2.4.3: It works as expected; it isn't necessary to remove the
list style or to apply a new style)

Please set keyword "regression".

NO, the behavior in OOo 3.2 is correct. As stated in the specification
"NumberingBullets1.sxw" under aspect 7.8, text should be pasted as "formatted
text" as new part of the existing list. Intention is that a new list will be
started with the pasted text as part of the list.
The old (wrong) behavior was fixed together with issue 86492.

@mru:
Sorry, I had overlooked issue 86492 - and thanks, I'll read the specification ...
