Hi!
It would be a practical enhancement, in addition to the present functioning of the
data merge option to merge data only on selected paragraphs.
Sample Use: When you have a merged list of addresses it would be practical to
remerge just a selected number of lines. - In my case: A letter draws its address
data as well as a list of addresses from the same data base. First you merge the
address fields of the letter and in a second merge the addresses of the list. -
Without having a selective data merge feature you probably have a problem.

Regards
Hans.

Hi - if I understand the scenario here: A run of letters that will have a
common, yet merged, sender address and individual recipient address - yes?

If I'm not mistaken then you can do this already - assuming - you are using a
data source supporting queries capable of joining tables. In other words you
need to prep your data before you perform the merge.

Which doesn't mean that it can't be done more easily from the perspective of the
mail merge task.

Is it possible for you to supply (attach) a small representative database and
letter template, with a quick set of steps that you use for this?

Thanks
