with the attached document i can generate an infinite loop when i try to set the
left margin from 1cm to 2cm. after this setting the document grows in pages from
X to thousends of pages.

OD: please have a look. No need to re-size the margin. Just try Ctrl+Down.

MRU->OD: just triggering the page formatting will also lead to the loop. It
looks that there are many tables in the document.

first investigation reveals that the wrapping style of the big green rectangles
on the right of the pages causes that some content which is already wrapping
around text content pictures does not fit on the page. Thus, this content moves
forward to the next page again and again.

I will attached a modified version of the given document which does not causes
the Writer to loop on the layout.

The layout loop already occurs in OOo 2.0 and on other platforms -> adjusting
target.
