Description jsainio 2010-04-20 22:17:09 UTC
3.2.0 (latest) version diagnoses invalid digital signatures on both the java and
main .cab files, so installation fails.

error is 1330. jre1.6.0_18\data1.cab invalid for Java
error also 1330 openofficeorg1.cab invalid for main install

after reading chatter, tried turning off QuickStart and auto updates. Actually,
turned off all installs except the spreadsheet. Also didn't update Java. No
change, except that obviously the Java error disappeared.

I can't confirm. No such problem on XP or Windows 7 box. Have you tried a
different download mirror? Can you give the URL where you have downloaded from?

Redownloading gives a completely different path than yesterday. First, this
message when clicking:

      I want to download OpenOffice.org
Download OpenOffice.org for free, or find out about other ways of getting it

I get
File not found
The requested file in the URL below was not found on this server:
http://download.services.openoffice.org/files/stable/3.2.0/null

Following the links, I get to
http://download.openoffice.org/other.html
and choose English (usa) Windows, and download a 152Meg file. (I see no
download mirrors)

But the result is the same. At "Status: Copying new files," with 3 bars of
progress, same error message.

Unchecking the box to include the Java Runtime Environment, gives a 135Meg
download which is successful. However, the Calc spreadsheet handles 3-D graphs
even worse than u-Soft Excel, so I will have to wait for improvements.

I can't confirm that issue. No one ever has confirmed this issue or has voted
for it.
